Miljko Ristić is a Serbian cardiothoracic surgeon, university professor, and former acting director of the Clinical Center of Serbia.
He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, in 1972. He completed his specialist studies in general surgery in 1979 and obtained his doctorate with a thesis titled "Reconstruction of the Mitral Valve" in 1986. He furthered his education in Brussels, Paris, Houston, and Zurich.
From 5 November, 2012, to 4 August, 2015, he served as the acting director of the Clinical Center of Serbia. By the decision of the Government of Serbia, he was appointed as the chief coordinator for heart transplantation and cardiothoracic surgery for Belgrade, Niš, Kragujevac, and Užice.
He was, at one point, the forced manager of the Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases Dedinje.
He is currently a full professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, and the coordinator for cardiology at the Ministry of Health.
He is the President of the Medical Commission of the Football Association of Serbia and a member of the Board of Directors of Red Star Football Club.
