Milenko Kostić was born on December 15, 1953, in the village of Kotraža near Čačak. After completing primary school in Kotraža, he finished the Maritime High School on the island of Korčula successfully. He immediately started working at the local shipyard, where he worked for eight years. Nostalgia for his family brought him back to his hometown Kotraža. He was employed at the Sima Saraga company, then moved to the Pansirovina company, where his entrepreneurial abilities soon emerged. He completed Higher Business School in Novi Sad.
On 12 June 1991, the private company "AutoČačak" was founded and registered as a company for production, trade, tourism, traffic, and export-import services. After many years of hard work and dedication, Milenko Kostić became the general representative of the Czech company Škoda AUTO on 7 May 1996. He will be remembered as a humanitarian by many health centres to which he donated modern ambulance vehicles, as well as various institutions, societies, writers, and poets he helped. His name is also recorded in the book of the most famous people in Čačak ("Who is Who in Čačak"), as well as in the book of founders of the Serbian Orthodox Church, earning this recognition through selfless contributions to the renovation of the church of St. Panteleimon. In gratitude, upon the proposal of the Žiča Eparchy, Milenko Kostić was decorated with the Order of the Serbian Orthodox Church with a silver star.
For his achievements in business, Milenko Kostić received the "Businessman of the Year" award in 2005 from the Club of Economic Journalists of Belgrade.
