Biography

On June 5, 2017, Milojević took over the coaching baton and succeeded Miodrag Božović on the bench of the former world and European champion. Already in the first season, he managed to introduce the club to the Europa League, when in one of the most emotional games played at the "Rajko Mitić" stadium in recent history, Crvena zvezda defeated Krasnodar (2:1), with goals from Nemanja Radonjić and Gelor Kanga, and played group stage of the European competition after ten years.

He didn't stop there. Great games in the group stage and a decisive match against Koln followed, when on December 7, 2017, with the goal of Slavoljub Srnić in a phenomenally prepared game by our strategist, Crvena zvezda defeated the German club (1:0) and managed to secure the European spring after 25 years.

In addition to all that, he managed to win the title with 12 points more than Partizan, as well as the following season when our club became the champion of Serbia.

Milojević soon showed everyone that Crvena zvezda can qualify for the Champions League. In the superbly prepared double match against Salzburg and in the famous match in Austria, Ben scored two goals within a few minutes and brought celebration to our team (2:2). Milojević raised the ladder that season and introduced the club to the highest quality European competition after 27 years. Then came the first point of our team in the modified format of the Champions League competition when Crvena zvezda drew against Napoli (0:0), and then the first goal, when Marko Marin scored against Paris Saint-Germain, and the first triumph in an incredible game against Liverpool when Milan Pavkov became a hero with two goals (2:0).

Milojević repeated it the following season. Penalty series in Copenhagen, then a double match with Young Boys and another group stage in the Champions League, which made a streak of three years in which our club played consecutively in the group stage of a European competition.

All this in 897 days in which he achieved 107 wins, 24 draws and 18 losses in 149 games. He made a triumphant debut when Floriana was defeated (3:0), and with the victory he completed his mission in Crvena zvezda, because he defeated Čukarički (3:1).

Milojević is also the record holder on Zvezda's list of coaches who led our club in European matches, given that he sat on the bench of our team 49 times in international matches.

He left Crvena zvezda on December 19, 2019, and soon took over Saudi Al Ahli, where he stayed until March 2021. This was followed by an engagement in Greece, and from the bench he led AEK Athens from July to October 2021. He then sat on the bench of Al Ettifaq for a period of six months until March 2022. In the 2022/23 season, he became the coach of Apoel from Nicosia in October, to stay in the capital of Cyprus until June, and then moved to the ranks of Apollon from Limassol, where he stayed until December 2023, while to the joy of all Crvena zvezda fans at the end of the same month returned to Marakana.

Although he led the red and whites in the second term from the start of preparations for the spring part of the season, Milojević managed to reach a new championship title with the footballers of our team. In the 2023/24 season, he also won the Serbian Cup, thus completing the double crown, which he missed during his first term at Zvezda.

As coach of Crvena zvezda, he won four championship titles, one Serbian Cup and one double crown. Also with the red and whites, he made it to four group stages of European competitions - three Champions Leagues and one Europa League, with one European spring secured.
