Biography

Svetozar Mijailović was born on January 8, 1947 in Lopaš, near Požega, Užice.

He graduated from the Faculty of Organizational Sciences and earned the title of Labor Organization Engineer. He was employed at the Institute for Technology Transfer, Engineering and Marketing in Belgrade. He is one of the founders of the Association of National Team Players of Serbia. A prominent long-time social and sports worker. He was the president of the Youth of Serbia (1973-1977), president of the Serbian Football Federation (1978-1982), president of the Belgrade Football Federation (1982-1986), president of the Football Federation Assembly Crvena Zvezda (1987-1993), President of the FC Crvena Zvezda (2014 - present), Vice President of the Belgrade Football Association (1996-2000), Minister of Sports in the Government of the Republic of Serbia (2000).

He is the recipient of the May Award of the Serbian Football Association, the Order of Labour, the Award of the Football Association of Serbia, several Awards of the Crvena zvezda Sports Society, the Charter of the Association of National Representatives of Serbia and many other social and sporting awards.
