State Champions 2020.

The new 31st state championship title, Crvena Zvezda won in an impressive manner as the sovereign leader of the Serbian Super League.

We opened the championship on our home field with a 2:0 triumph over Javor from Ivanjica. Branko Jovicic scored the first goal in the championship for our team in the 2019/20 season. After the first round, we took the leading position in the table and stayed there until the end. We showed an excellent game and recorded seven more consecutive triumphs in the rest of the championship. We defeated Radnički, Voždovac, Mladost, Spartak, Čukaricki, Vojvodina and Inđija in turn. Then came a defeat in the eternal derby. After that, we achieved a series of six victories, drew with Javor in the 16th round, and by the end of the autumn part of the championship we recorded triumphs against Radnički, Voždovac, Mladost, Spartak and Čukaricki when the curtain was lowered on the first part of the championship.

The spring part of the championship, led by the new coach Dejan Stanković, started with a victory over Čukaricki on Banovo Brdo with a score of 2:0. Then, we beat Vojvodina once again in the aforementioned season, only to draw twice after that – against Inđija and in the eternal derby against Partizan. Then came victories over Mačva and Napredak with the same score (3:0), before the unplanned break caused by the coronavirus pandemic occurred.
