After better penalty shooting performance in the two final matches against Partizan, Crvena Zvezda won the Yugoslav Cup in 1993. In the first match, Partizan won 1:0 as a home team, and the identical result was in favor of Red Star on May 15 at Marakana, in front of 32,000 spectators. Anto Drobnjak scored the goal in the 56th minute. The penalty scorers for Red Star were: Ivić, Vidaković, Vasilijević, Petković and goalkeeper Simeunović.
