In the final match of 1958, they achieved a convincing victory against Velež from Mostar – 4:0. In front of 30,000 spectators at the JNA Stadium, the scorers for Red Star were: Kostić in the 61st and 71st minutes from penalties, Borozan in the 68th and Rudinski in the 73rd minute.
