On the occasion of 35 years since winning the European Champions Cup in Bari, our club president Svetozar Mijailović recalled Red Star's historic success.

Exactly 35 years ago today, Crvena Zvezda achieved the greatest success in the history of our football and became the European champion. The red and whites defeated Olympique Marseille in Bari after a better penalty shootout, and the memories of the historic night were shared by the legendary striker and scorer of the decisive goal from the penalty spot, Darko Pančev.

Crvena Zvezda climbed to the top of Europe 35 years ago, defeating Olympique Marseille in the final in Bari. The brilliant generation of red and whites achieved this success without defeat, thus writing themselves in golden letters in the annals of football.
