Terzić

Biography

Zvezdan Terzić was born on May 21, 1966 in Vrbas. He is a man who has achieved success wherever he has worked – from OFK Belgrade to the Football Association of Serbia to his current important role in the Football Club. Crvena Zvezda who returned to the big European stage. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade in 1995. He speaks four foreign languages - English, Russian, Greek and Hungarian. After his master's degree, he also earned a Doctor of Science degree on the topic "The Influence of Leaders on Transformational Changes in Sports".

He played for OFK Belgrade for nine years as a defender. He was the leader and captain of that club for six years. Characteristically responsible, which he conveyed to the office today - short and clear, fast and efficient. He also played for one year in the Greek first league club Kastoria in the 1996/1997 season when he ended his playing career, because he received an invitation to return to the "Omladinski stadion" in Stara Karaburma and become the general manager. During the embargo from 1992 to 1995, he appeared four times for the Yugoslav national team in unofficial matches.

In January 2005, he was unanimously elected president of the Football Association of Serbia. After parting with Montenegro, the Football Association of Serbia becomes the legal successor of all previous state associations. Then Terzić, as president, replaced the blue jerseys with red ones, replaced the old emblem of the Association with two pentagrams with a new one which was later accepted by all sports, so the Football Association of Serbia was the "locomotive" of the awakening of new sports patriotism.

Since 2014, when Zvezdan Terzić assumed a senior executive role at the club, Crvena zvezda has won nine Serbian league titles, five Serbian Cup trophies, and five domestic doubles. The red-and-whites have competed in the UEFA Europa League five times, including once in the league phase of the competition, and have reached the European spring stage on four occasions. Crvena zvezda has appeared in the UEFA Champions League four times, and in the 2024/25 season it took part in the historic new format of Europe’s most prestigious club competition. In the 2018/19 season, Crvena zvezda defeated the famous Liverpool in Belgrade, a team that went on to become European champions later that same season. 

Today, Zvezdan Terzić enjoys a great reputation in the football world of UEFA and FIFA. He is currently the general director of our football club and is one of the most important people in the organizational structure at the Serbian Marakana.
