Zvezdan Terzić was born on May 21, 1966 in Vrbas. He is a man who is associated with success wherever he worked - from OFK Belgrade to the Football Association of Serbia to today's important role in the Crvena zvezda football club, which has returned to the big European stage. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade in 1995. He speaks four foreign languages - English, Russian, Greek and Hungarian. After his master's degree, he obtained the title of Doctor of Science on the topic "The influence of leaders on transformational changes in sports".
He played for OFK Belgrade for nine years as a defender. He was the leader and captain of that club for six years. Characteristically responsible, which he conveyed to the office today - short and clear, fast and efficient. He also played for one year in the Greek first league club Kastoria in the 1996/1997 season when he ended his playing career, because he received an invitation to return to the "Youth Stadium" in Stara Karaburma and become the general manager. During the embargo from 1992 to 1995, he appeared four times for the Yugoslav national team in unofficial matches.
In January 2005, he was unanimously elected president of the Football Association of Serbia. After parting with Montenegro, the Football Association of Serbia becomes the legal successor of all previous state associations. Then Terzić, as president, replaced the blue jerseys with red ones, replaced the old emblem of the Association with two pentagrams with a new one which was later accepted by all sports, so the Football Association of Serbia was the "locomotive" of the awakening of new sports patriotism.
Since 2014, when Zvezdan Terzić was in charge, the Red Star football club has won nine national championship titles, four Serbian Cups, and four double crowns. The red and whites have appeared in the Europa League group stage four times and have played in the knockout stage of the competition three times. Red Star has also appeared in the Champions League four times, and in the 2024/25 season it was part of the historic new format of the highest quality football competition in Europe. In the 2018/19 season Crvena Zvezda defeated the famous Liverpool in Belgrade, who later became European champions in the same season.
Today, Zvezdan Terzić enjoys a great reputation in the football world of UEFA and FIFA. He is currently the general director of our football club and is one of the most important links in the organizational structure at the Serbian Marakana.
