With Champions League opener now behind us, Zvezda players, the staff, as well as the fans turn to this weekend's Večiti derbi.
Our battling midfielder Branko Jovičić is expecting a difficult game when we travel to Partizan Stadium on Sunday.
"Our priority is to win the title again. The press is saying that we're firm favourites to win, but we can't afford to be too relaxed. These games are never straightforward. They are true derby games, the kind of games where anything can happen. So, we have to be prepared and focused."
Jovičić shuns predictions of an easy win.
"Partizan are a quality side and we play at their ground, so we cannot afford to think of ourselves as favourites. We're in for a challenge."
Players who joined the club this summer are gearing up for their first Večiti derbi experience.
"The new boys may not have played in the Belgrade derby, but they have featured in some big games in other leagues. Besides, as soon as they join Crvena zvezda, the fans and the other players talk to them about our derby all the time. They should be informed enough to know what to expect."
Our fixture list gives the players little time to relax, but Branko reckons that the team is rested.
"We have got a large squad with many good players. It gives our boss some options, so he can keep the team fresh. We have used the past international break to regroup so we should be fine. Besides, when the derby day comes, you don't feel fatigue. You only want to play!"
