Crvena zvezda Head Coach Vladan Milojević has been named Serbia's Best Coach of 2017 at a gala thrown by Fudbalski savez Srbije (FSS, Serbian Football Association).
Milojević deserved the prize by transforming Zvezda's on-field and off-field fortunes in just over six months since taking over the Rajko Mitić Stadium post. His team played some great football and beat the odds more than once to qualify for the UEFA Europa League knock-out stages and bring post-Christmas European football to the club for the first time since early nineties. His team is also top of Superliga table with great prospects of bringing back the title.
There are some impressive stats during Milojević’s reign. For example, Crvena zvezda is the only visiting team to have kept a clean sheet at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium all year. Our defence has been in exceptional form all season and has conceded very few goals.
Crvena zvezda representatives were denied invitations to the celebratory evening in Belgrade, so Vladan Milojević was thrown a reception at Rajko Mitić Stadium instead.
It’s a prize well deserved by Vladan Milojević. Well done, gaffer!
