A star in the Champions League!

The competition system of the Champions League is different compared to previous years, and 36 teams will participate. There are no more groups, but the overall table of all participants is made, and instead of six, all teams will have eight games each in the group stage.

Specifically, Red Star will play four matches at home and four away, but against eight different teams. This would mean that Zvezda will have two rivals from each hat. The first stage, unlike previous years, will be played until the end of January, and the system of advancing is also different.

Namely, the first eight teams will advance directly to the round of 16, while the teams from 9th to 24th place will have a play-off. Teams from 25th to 36th place will be automatically eliminated, so it is no longer possible to go down from the Champions League to the Europa League.
