To meet the opponent - Voždovac

MUTUAL DUELS

The first duel between Crvena zvezda and Voždovac was played on February 22, 1950, when our team won 6:0. So far throughout history, we have met the popular "Dragon" 30 times, and the statistics are on the side of the team from Ljutica Bogdan. In total, we triumphed 25 times, once we played without a winner, while Voždovac players celebrated four times. The goal difference is 70:17 in favor of Zvezda.

The most convincing victory of Zvezda was recorded on October 24, 1951, when we defeated Voždovac in the control match with 11:1. The interesting thing is that we have never met Voždovac in the cup, and we have also played six friendly matches.

The last duel between Red Star and Voždovac was played at the so-called "Roof" on May 8, 2023, as part of the fourth round of the national championship playoffs. Our club won 2:0, and the goals were scored by Aleksandar Pešić and Jovan Mijatović.

Zvezda is the only team in the Super League of Serbia that has a 100% performance in the first four rounds, which automatically places us at the top of the table. Namely, at the opening of the season, we outclassed Vojvodina with 5:0, then we defeated Napredak with 4:0 and were better than Mladosta from Lucca with 4:1. In the last game we played, we routinely triumphed against Spartak with 3:0 at the Maracana, and Osman Bukari and Kings Kangwa scored with an own goal by the opponent. The efficiency of the red and white team leads us to a goal difference of 16:1, which is why we demonstrated extremely attacking and attractive football. Also, Barak Bahar's company does not know defeat, because we achieved eleven triumphs in the same number of matches since the Israeli expert sat on the bench of the Serbian champions.

Voždovac is currently the eighth-placed team in the table with six points won, with a goal difference of 4:3. Marko Savić's team is also undefeated in the domestic championship so far, considering that the "Dragons" managed to win once and draw three times. They played a draw against Javor (0:0), IMT (2:2) and Radnik (1:1), while in the last meeting they celebrated against Železničar in Pancevo with 1:0, and the winning goal was scored by Nikša Vujanović .

BEST OPPONENT PLAYERS

Vozdovac plays in a 4-2-3-1 game system, and the team is made up of a handful of young players. Former Zvezda youth player Andrija Katić is a safe option in goal, as team captain. The defensive line consists of the right back Vukašin Đurđević born in 2004, then the stopper tandem Aleksandar Lukić and Vuk Bogdanović, also former players of Crvena zvezda, while at the end of the left out line is the young Nikola Đuričić. The midfield is shaped by twenty-two-year-old Bogdan Jočić, the child of our club and Aleksa Matić, who grew up in Zvezda, and it is interesting that both of them defended the colors of Grafičar. Matija Mitrović, an offshoot of the football academy of Voždovac, acts slightly more prominent in front of the mentioned duo. Mihajlo Nešković and Nikša Vujanović perform as wing players. The classic center forward position is intended for Borisav Burzman, another Zvezda pupil.
