The cadet selection of FK Crvena zvezda finished the championship as the runner-up with 78 points. In 30 matches played, the red and whites achieved the best goal difference in the league.
Although Slađan Nikolić's players were within reach of winning the second successive title of national champion, the cup intended for the champion of the Serbian Cadet League unfortunately eluded them by a hair's breadth. With 78 points, after 30 games played, the red and whites achieved the same performance as the leader of the table, however, due to the lower score between them, the title of vice-champion went to us.
When the line is drawn, at the end of the championship, the Zvezda cadets achieved a balance of 26 wins, no draws, with only four losses. What graced the boys born in 2006 and 2007 throughout the season was attacking football with a large number of great actions and goals. The talented boys scored an incredible 122 goals and conceded only 26, which makes us the most efficient team and at the same time the team that had the best defense.
Andrej Mladenović led our cadet selection as captain in the second part of the season, while due to the injury and absence of the standard captain from the field, the role of leader during the autumn part of the championship was taken over by Veljko Milosavljević. In their absence, the experienced coach Slađan Nikolić had the most confidence in Andrej Petrović. At the end of the competition, Andrija Maksimović was convincingly the first on the club's list of scorers, who scored as many as 30 goals in 25 matches. Just behind the offensive midfielder is Stefan Golubović with 17 goals, Uroš Tegeltija and Darije Markočević took third place with 10, while Andrej Petrović and Vukašin Ivanović hit the opponents' net on eight occasions.
The role of the best assistant went to Uroš Tegeltija with 14 passes for a goal, and Andrija Maksimović matched him with nine, that is, David Đurić and Veljko Vukojević with eight assists each. Also, with 29 appearances, Uroš Tegeltija is the footballer who recorded the most matches during the season.
At the end of the championship, our coaching staff could not count on seven players who participated in the European Championship in Hungary for players up to 17 years old, and Vuk Roganović, Đorđe Cvetković, Uroš Đorđević and Petar Manojlović made their debuts in the Serbian cadet league. During the winter break, Aleksa Vasilić was reassigned from the junior cadet selection to the one year older generation, and Stefan Maksimović, Miloš Aranđelović, Mihajlo Katanić and Dušan Žagar were part of the U17 Zvezda selection during the season.
