Summary of preparations - Zvezda is ready for the start of the season

Zvezda won three games, while in the last control match it was defeated by Tagliares. We played the first game against Mladosta from Lucca in Užice, when we won 1:0 with a rejuvenated team. Although they were under a load, after nine days of hard work at Zlatibor, the young players of Zvezda performed well, led by the returnee, Luka Ilić, who, after taking the ball away from the defenders of Mladost, sent the ball under the crossbar in an exceptional way. naked.

After returning to Belgrade from Zlatibor, the Red Star footballers headed to Russia on July 3, where they participated in the tournament in St. Petersburg, organized by the Russian champion - Zenit, for the second year in a row. We played the first match against Sochi, after two days in Russia, and won 2:0. Vladan Milojević's men played an excellent game, and reinforcements Dalsio Gomeš and Lazar Jovanović stood out in particular. For the first goal, the former Apoel player sent a perfect ball to Sheriff Endiaje, who in a routine way first deceived the goalkeeper, and then put the ball into an empty net. With the second goal for the red and whites, we saw a good penetration on the left side by Jovan Šljivić, who attempted a shot, and after the intervention of the goalkeeper of Sochi, Lazar Jovanović ran onto the ball and set the final score.

Not everything went well for Zvezda, which managed to consolidate at the end of the first half, and hinted at what kind of game awaits us in the rest of the game. At the beginning of the second half, Dalsio showed his creation in action again, who found Katai, while Magico lived up to his nickname, and with a beautiful shot passed the Zenit goalkeeper and hit the small net. A complete turnaround was brought to Zvezda by the reserve players - Gelor Kanga and Stefan Leković. The Gabonese found Zvezda's child with a beautiful cross, who made a heavenly jump and sent the ball under the crossbar of the home team's goal. This goal brought our club a new trophy from the tournament in Russia.
