The team of Nenad Milijaš showed that they were not afraid of the challenge, and in the opening minutes they were a noticeably better opponent on the field. They came out very high, with the back line in the opponent's half, and on several occasions they took the ball away from the opponent in front of their goal. Mostly our youngsters combined on the flanks, through Đurić and Stojković. Jovanović had the first real opportunity to shoot, who tried from 20 meters, but it was blocked, and the red and whites got to the second corner kick of the match. Then, after the opening 10 minutes of the game, there was a period of play, when our team defended in the middle block, and wisely waited for the opponent's mistake. Once again, Jovanović found himself in the opportunity to shoot, as he completed a nice double pass with Sremčević, but this time he was also blocked.
Inter took the lead in the 23rd minute of the game, and the scorer was Topalović. Nenad Milijaš's players wanted to score an equalizing goal as soon as possible, and they tried to take the initiative on the field. They tried to come out even more aggressively, and to increase the opponent's mistakes, and thus reduce the possession of the Italian team as much as possible. Due to the increased aggressiveness of our team, and a slightly higher standing line of our team, more space remained for Inter's counterattacks. That's where the super-talented Draškić entered the scene, who prevented our opponent from increasing the advantage on several occasions, but still capitulated two more times by the end of the first half. Koki scored in the 35th minute, and De Pieri in the 40th minute.
They came out in red and white in the second half, as in the first, they were very aggressive and did not want to give up. Milijas changed his formation, so he played with four players in defense. Sljivić sent the first shot in the second half, more precisely, in the 50th minute of the match, but it was blocked. Jovanović's persistence paid off in the 54th minute, and after applying pressure, he stole the ball from Inter's right back and then shot, and his attempt went over the goal.
The home team from Italy scored the fourth goal of the match, and the scorer was Mosconi in the 61st minute. Sremčević had a great opportunity in the 70th minute, but his shot went wide of the home team's goal. Our players did not give up, and despite the big deficit, they continued to attack and create opportunities. Both Šljivić and Ranković had chances, but the score remained 4:0.
