Vladan Milojević's team opened the match in a good way, already in the sixth minute Elšnik took a corner well, and Olanjinka caught the ball with his head, but the goalkeeper of the home team was in the right place. The head of our club's coaching staff had to make a forced change in the seventh minute of the match, when Duarte left due to an injury he suffered two minutes earlier, and was replaced by Dalsio. After Monaco responded with attempts from the break and from distance, we saw a new opportunity for Zvezda in the 13th minute. Silas wanted to play Dalsia from the right flank, but before him, Vanderson reached the ball, who almost scored an own goal, but the ball went right past the goal post of the home team.

It was the 20th minute when Monaco took the lead through Minamin. Elsnik brilliantly beat Endiaye with a long ball in the 25th minute, while the Senegal representative in Monaco's penalty area threw Carrer out of the game, who stopped him in an illegal way and hid the penalty kick. It was Sheriff Endiaye who took responsibility and in the 27th minute brought Red Star an equaliser. We didn't see much excitement until the 43rd minute when Olanjinka was left on the grass after an Elsnik corner, after being stepped on by Zakaria, but the referee did not award a penalty. In the last minute of stoppage time, Embolo gave Monaco a new advantage. We saw a great intervention from Marko Ilić before the break, when he saved Zakaria's header.

At the start of the second half, Vladan Milojević did not want to change anything, while Hiter decided to insert Golovin into the game instead of Ben Segir. It was the 54th minute when Singo scored another goal for Monaco. In the 60th minute, we saw new changes in the ranks of Crvena zvezda, so Milan Rodić and Luka Ilić entered the field instead of Radet Krunic and Silas. In the 70th minute, there was another change in the score, when Minamino scored his second goal of the match. In the 74th minute, Aleksandar Katai and Gelor Kanga entered the field instead of Andrija Maksimović and Sherif Endiaje. The red and whites tried to threaten the opponent's goal by building actions from the last line, but the result remained unchanged. Due to an injury, Peter Olanjinka also ended the match, and the players of our club ended the game with one less player on the field. Akliush scored the last goal for Monaco in the 90th minute, and set the final score of the game.
