Zvezda's European continuity - eight years!

Zvezda writes golden pages of history year after year. From the founding of the club in 1945 until today, the red and white colors have represented our country throughout Europe and the world. Zvezda shone at the top in 1991, and after many years our team has been in the company where it has always belonged for eight consecutive years. We compete and compete with the best teams on the Old Continent, as we have done since time immemorial.

The paths of old glory are here, and every star player can point out with pride and great satisfaction that the club he supports is deservedly among the 36 best teams in Europe. We beat Bode Glimt in the Maracana stadium and the new format of the prestigious club competition is upon us, which means that our team will play in the Champions League for the fourth time in the previous eight years.

The series of participation in European competitions started from the 2017/18 season, when after a decade we qualified for the Europa League, and in the same year we spent the winter in Europe. We played in the Champions League for the next two years under the leadership of Vladan Milojević. While in the 2020/21, 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons we were participants in the second strongest competition and achieved great success by placing in the sixteenth and eighth finals.

With this, Zvezda enabled itself to be a direct participant in the group stage of the Champions League in the competition year 2023/24.

In the past eight seasons, Arsenal, PSG, Napoli, Liverpool, Tottenham, Bayern Munich, Olympiakos, Milan, Rangers, Manchester City, RB Leipzig and many other European teams came to the Maracana.

The Star shines again in the Champions League and shines where it always belongs, and the streak of playing in European competitions has been going on for eight years!
