In the upcoming League of Nations matches, the Serbian national team will compete against Spain in Belgrade (September 5), and then three days later in Copenhagen against Denmark, and two Red Star footballers - Marko Ilić and Nemanja Stojić - were on the selectors' list.
Ilić joined Crvena Zvezda a month ago and since then he has defended in every game for our club. In five matches, he scored four goals and had two "klinšits", which drew the attention of the coaching staff of the Serbian national team, for which he made his debut in November 2018.
Stojić was part of the squad that went to the European Championship, but he did not record minutes there. Nevertheless, the stopper, who made four appearances with an assist for Zvezda this season, has been in the selectors' closest plans for a long time, and the invitation was expected. Stojić made two appearances for the Serbian national team.
The list is preliminary, and the final one will be published on August 30.
