Zvezda hosted a high delegation from the Republic of China

President Svetozar Mijailović, sports director Mitar Mrkela, director of the Youth School Nikola Jelić, vice-president of FSS and president of ŽFK Crvena zvezda Sandra Sremčević and director of business development Stefan Mrlješ, in the company of the Minister of Sports and Youth of the Republic of Serbia Zoran Gajić, which speaks volumes about the importance of this visit, have agreed on the further development and improvement of relations to the satisfaction of both parties in several hours of talks with the high Chinese delegation. The Chinese delegation was led by the Vice President of the Chinese Government, Shen Jiqing, together with the Minister of Sports, Jiao Jidan, the Director of the Chinese Football Association, Song Kai, and the Deputy Secretary General of the State Council, Liu Juhui.

The delegation, which consisted of 14 other high-ranking officials of the People's Republic of China, was welcomed at the Red Star FC Museum, where our dear guests had the opportunity to learn more about the history of the club and the great sporting achievements of Red Star. Then, the official part of the meeting was held in the club's ceremonial hall.

On that occasion, the two sides exchanged experiences from the already existing cooperation, which is primarily based on the development of youth football in China under the patronage of our Youth School, as well as the marketing potential of Zvezda on the Chinese market.

In order to convince themselves of the strength and capacities of our club, president Mijailović and sports director Mrkela presented the entire complex of our Youth School to the delegation from China, and the guests had the opportunity to see for themselves the way of training in the best football academy in the Balkans and one of the best in Europe, as well as to watch the match that was played on the fields behind the south of the Maracana. Aleksandar Janković, the former coach of Red Star and until recently the coach of the Chinese national team, acted as a link during these meetings.

A number of future steps and strengthening of cooperation were agreed, and the Chinese delegation was very satisfied with the visit.

There is no doubt that we will continue to cooperate in this way in the future, through the exchange of football knowledge, that is, the development of young and talented players.
