Zvezda signed contracts with four talents

Red and white youngsters Davorin Tošić (offensive midfielder, 2007), Strahinja Stojković (right back, 2007) extended their cooperation with our club. The first professional contract was initialed by members of the cadet selection Ognjen Ivković (right back, stopper 2008) and Strahinja Baucal (stopper, 2009).

The director of our Youth School - Nikola Jelić congratulated the young footballers and advised them to work even harder in order to achieve the best possible results and development.

- Every signature and contract renewal is important for our academy. Lately, a lot of players from the Youth School are moving to the first team of Crvena Zvezda. We are very happy when boys make their debut and perform for the senior team. An example is Andrija Maksimović, who recently made his debut for the A selection of the Serbian national team. We have infinite confidence in the four footballers who were promoted today. We extended the contract with Strahinja Stojković and Davorin Tošić, they are standard national team members of our country. We believe in their quality and believe that in the coming period, Crvena Zvezda will benefit from playing in the first team. Ognjen Ivković, whom we hired from Brodarc, became a professional today. He has a bright perspective, as he plays equally well in the right and center back positions. He also regularly plays for the national team, and we expect him to be an important link in our academy this year and next. The youngest in this group is Strahinja Baucal, one of the most talented defenders in the region in the generation of 2009. He arrived in our ranks from Vojvodina, and the fact that he plays a year older than the generation shows great perspective. We are satisfied with how he has adapted to the club and Belgrade and we expect him to raise his magnificent potential to a higher level - said Nikola Jelić.
