Vasilije Kostov extended the contract until 2027

- It is a great honor and privilege that I have extended my contract with such a big club, which I support. This is just an incentive and additional motivation for me to train even harder and improve, and to additionally help the team and the coach. I always fondly remember the special moments I experienced in my beloved jersey, especially those when we won the Cadet League of Serbia, but also the eternal derby that we convincingly won. The goal against Barcelona meant a lot to me in terms of self-confidence, which I always try to turn into inexhaustible energy with which I can contribute to the team wearing the jersey of Red Star and the Serbian national team. I have a great desire to play in the senior team of Crvena zvezda and I will continue to work hard in order to achieve my goal - stressed Kostov.

Vasilije Kostov was born in 2008 in the capital of Serbia. He plays in the position of offensive midfielder in the youth selection of Crvena zvezda, in which he established himself as one of the most important "screws" in the game. He stood out for his phenomenal shot from distance, and scored a great goal in the eternal youth derby, which confirmed the victory of Crvena zvezda. He proved that he is a player for the big stage in the youth Champions League match against the Barcelona team. He wasn't afraid of the challenge in the least, and even though he was one of the youngest on the field, he took responsibility and with a goal from the penalty spot, an attractive "panenka", once again showed that he has a bright football future ahead of him.
