Meet Bode Glimt

Bode Glimt plays in a 4-3-3 formation, and the head of the coaching staff, Kjetil Knutsen, has been on the Norwegian bench since January 1, 2018. The 55-year-old strategist is credited with bringing Bode Glimt onto the international stage. Bode plays very offensively, and mainly attacks on the flanks, while he is vulnerable from breaks because in that segment of the game he receives the most goals. The team plays as a team, but there are several excellent individuals in the Knutsen roster. The team is mostly made up of local players who started in the club or have already played in Norway.

The goalkeeper position belongs to the experienced Nikita Haikin, a goalkeeper who came through the youth ranks of Chelsea. The Russian goalkeeper changed many countries during his career, and defended in the championships of Spain, England, Portugal, Israel and Russia. During the current season, he conceded 18 goals in 22 games, and kept a clean sheet on eight occasions.

The right back is the young Fredrik Sjovold, who is only 168 centimeters tall, while his namesake Bjorkan acts on the opposite side. Both are offshoots of Bode Glimt's academy. The tandem of center backs consists of Odin Bjortuft and Jostein Gundersen, and we are talking about a pair of stoppers who recently played together, as they are reinforcements from Od and Troms.

The main player in the midfield is Patrick Berg. The black and yellow midfielder is the captain of the team and the leader on the field. Sondre Fet, who scored two goals in the return match with Jagiellonia, as well as Haakon Evjen are also performing with him. This is a player who returned to Bode from Brondby in January of this year.

The talented left-footed dribbler Isaac Mata will most likely threaten on the right flank, while Jens Hauge will pose a threat on the left. As the most advanced in the team, the Dane - Kasper Hague, who scored eight goals in all competitions this season, won. However, Bode managed to hire a new striker - Philip Sinkernagel. It is about the center forward who was the best scorer during the competition year 2020, when Bode took the first title in history. Sinkernagel arrived on loan from Club Brugge and will be a sure reinforcement for Bode.

We must point out that the keys to the game against Jagiellonia were in the hands of three footballers, who should be paid special attention to. These are the already mentioned Patrick Berg, Jens Peter Hauge and Sondre Fet. First of all, captain Patrick Berg should not be allowed to play, because he showed mastery especially in the first part of the second match, when he was the initiator of dangerous actions. He knew how to turn quickly, distribute useful passes to the wing and find very intelligent solutions.

Along with him, the former player of Milan - Jens Peter Hauge, who did not manage well in Italy, but after the episodes in Frankfurt and Ghent, after his return to Bode Glimt, continued with impressive releases. Against Jegjelonija, he recorded two assists, and was the initiator of another goal.
