MUTUAL DUELS

Crvena zvezda and Vojvodina have a deep history of mutual clashes, and the red and whites from Belgrade and Novi Sad have met in as many as 209 matches. Thus, "Old Lady" is considered one of the clubs with which we have played the most duels.

Our team emerged victorious in 120 matches, there were draws in 49 duels, while the people of Novi Sad won 40 matches. In the "battles" between Zvezda and Vojvodina, the ball hit the net an incredible 611 times, and the goal difference is on the side of the champions of Serbia and is 394:217.

Before the start of the league, the company of Israeli expert Barak Bahar is in excellent shape. When the line is drawn after the preparatory cycle, we achieved seven victories in as many games. We defeated Selection Užice (3:1), Borac from Banja Luka (2:0), Zenit (2:0), Nefči (4:0), Fenerbahce (3:1). After returning from Zlatibor and Russia, the red and whites triumphed over the TSC team (3:0), and then in the dress rehearsal we outclassed Fiorentina at the Maracana with 5:0. Our club plays attractive and attacking football with high pressing, and the players are well prepared physically for all the upcoming challenges.

Our upcoming rival, the Vojvodina team, finished the previous season in fifth position in the Serbian Super League with 63 points. The people of Novi Sad enter the new competitive year with great ambitions, primarily with the intention of placing in the League of Conferences. Before the beginning of the season, they played one competitive game as part of the qualifications for the above-mentioned competition, and suffered a defeat against Apoel in Cyprus with 2:1. Before that, in the course of preparations, Radoslav Batak's team played seven control duels, from which they have the statistics of two wins (Voždovac and Mura) and five draws (Otelu, Aluminij, Slaven Belupo, AEK Larnaca, Borac Banja Luka).

OPPOSING PLAYERS

During the summer transfer window, the Vojvodina squad was strengthened by Andrija Radulović, Stefan Vukić, Asmir Kajević, and Jonatan Bolingi as the most famous names. On the other hand, Uroš Kabić, Veljko Simić, Nemanja Nikolić and Mirko Topić left the club. Regardless of the changes, the composition of the Novi Sad red and white team has not changed too much compared to the previous competition year.

Standard Lazar Carević is in goal, while his replacement is Nemanja Toroman. The place of right back is reserved for Milan Lazarevic, while left back Filip Antonijević acts at the left side of the line. The stopper tandem consists of Đorđe Crnomarković, who arrived from Olimpija to the ranks of Vojvodina, and Malian international Traore. Dejan Zukić, the experienced Radomir Milosavljević and Uroš Nikolić make up the trio in the middle of the pitch. The captain is Nikola Čumić, who covers the lateral positions in the last third of the field, while the Senegalese Baraj acts as the second winger. Young Ivan Vukičević is the most advanced in the 4-3-3 formation. Options from the bench are Radulović, Vukić, Malbašić, Busnić, Kajević, Bolingi, Tanjga, Jeličić...
