Barak Bahar's team triumphed in nine matches (Vojvodina, Napredak, Mladost, Spartak, Novi Pazar, Radnički Niš, Radnički 1923, Javor, IMT), drew once (TSC) and experienced two defeats (Voždovac, Čukarički), with a goal difference of 31 :11. In the Serbian Cup, we convincingly defeated Trial from Kruševac with 0:6 away from home, and secured the next stage of the competition. When it comes to the Champions League, our team suffered away defeats against Manchester City (3:1) and RB Leipzig (3:1), while we drew with Young Boys (2:2) at Maracana. In the last meeting, the red and whites played a draw against the TSC team at the Maracana with a score of 1:1 in the domestic league, while the only goal in the match was scored by Aleksandar Katai.

Radnik occupies the last place in the table of the domestic championship with only nine points won and a goal difference of 6:11. So far, the worker has proven to be an unpleasant opponent, especially when he plays games in his own stadium. Players in blue jerseys celebrated only once this season against Spartak and that was precisely as the hosts of that duel. However, they suffered five defeats (TSC, Partizan, Javor, Vojvodina, Železničar), while they played without a winner six times in the season so far (Mladost, Voždovac, Novi Pazar, Čukarički, Radnički Niš, IMT). Also, they were eliminated from the Serbian Cup after losing to Radnički from Sremska Mitrovica with 2:0 on the side, which was also the last duel played by Zoran Ljubinković's team before visiting Zvezda.

Radnik is a predominantly defensive-oriented team, which plays in a 5-4-1 or 4-2-3-1 formation. Stefan Ranđelović is the first option in goal, while the young Vuk Vukadinović replaces him. In the last line, the three stoppers are captain Mihailo Oresčanin, Filip Jović and Miloš Vranjanin. In the positions of defenders, native of Sarajevo - Nemanja Tomašević on the left side, i.e. Ghanaian international - Sadik Abubakar near the right sideline. The players in the midfield are placed in a rhombus system, and Haris Hajdarević is the fuse in the middle of the field.
