The first match between Zvezda and Napredek was played in Kruševac on November 21, 1948, in which our team won with a score of 4:1.

The last time Zvezda and Napredak met on May 2, 2023, in the quarter finals of the Serbian Cup. After 90 minutes of play with a score of 0:0, it was time for a penalty shootout. Zvezda started the defense of the championship title in a phenomenal way. At the opening of the season, we outclassed Vojvodina with 5:0, and the goals for our team were scored by double scorer Jean Filip Craso, Vladimir Lučić and Osman Bukari with an own goal by Milosavljević. The triumph over "Stara Dam" from Novi Sad was the eighth in a row since Israeli expert Barak Bahar sat on the bench of the Serbian champions. Our team cultivates attractive and attacking football, and this is evidenced by the convincing goal difference of 22:2 recorded in the aforementioned number of matches.

In the first round of the Super League of Serbia - Napredak suffered a defeat at the "Mladost" stadium in Kruševac against Železničar from Pancevo, who celebrated with 1:0. Before that, within the preparatory period, the team led by Dragan Perišić from the coaching position played five duels, from which they have less positive statistics. Namely, "Čarapani" achieved only one triumph over NK Nafta, when they won with 3:0. In addition, they lost twice to Radnički from Kragujevac and once to Rudeš, while they played a draw against Istria in 1961.
