MUTUAL MEETINGS

The first match between Crvena zvezda and Javor was played on September 1, 1969 in Ivanjica, when the team of the famous coach Miljan Miljanić won 3:0, and the goals were scored by Mihailović, Lazarević and Arnejčić.

Throughout history, we have met with Javor 32 times and recorded 24 wins, three draws and five losses, with a goal difference of 62:20 in favor of our team, which is an impressive statistic.

We played the last duel on February 25, 2023 in the 23rd round of the national championship at the visiting stadium. We took a routine triumph with 0:2, and the important three points, before the eternal derby that followed, were brought by Stefan Mitrović and Aleksandar Pešić.

TEAM FORMS

Crvena zvezda is currently second in the Serbian Superliga standings with 21 points. Since the beginning of the season on July 30, we have played in nine games in the championship, and we have won seven, with two losses and a goal difference of 26:10. Looking at the matches in the Champions League, we first lost to Manchester City (3:1), then drew with Young Boys (2:2). In the last match within the Serbian Cup, we convincingly defeated Trial from Kruševac on the away court with 0:6. After the representative break, the red and whites want to continue their series of triumphs and make an excellent prelude before the trip to Germany for the match against RB Leipzig.

Javor has played 10 matches in the domestic championship since the start of the season, and is in eighth place with 14 points. From the perspective of statistics, Ivanjica won four times, were defeated in the same number of matches, while they drew twice. The goal difference of our next opponent is 11:14. Namely, Radovan Čurčić's team is in a series of two tied victories, first over Radnik (0:1), and then against Železničar from Pancevo (2:1), so we can conclude that they are in a good mood waiting for the duel with Zvezda.

OPPOSING PLAYERS

Javor most often plays in the 4-2-3-1 game system. In goal is Strahinja Manojlović, who played for Grafičar last season. In front of him, two stoppers Boris Kopitović and Đorđe Skoko command the defense, representing a combination of youth and experience. The position of left back is reserved for captain Nemanja Miletić, former Partizan first team player, while Milan Ilić, born in 2000, occupies the spot near the right sideline. The two defensive midfielders are Todor Petrović and Kristijan Tojicić, and in front of them is the young Luka Gojković. Ten of the team from Ivanjica - Radivoj Bosić plays on the left wing, and on the opposite side, the team's best scorer with three goals - Ibrahim Tanko, a player who stayed on the fields behind the south Maracana as a member of our football academy. The place of the classic striker belongs to Junior Bayer, a reinforcement from Turkey's Goztepe.
