MUTUAL DUELS

Crvena zvezda has played 40 games against Mladost from Lucan so far, including all competitions. The red and whites triumphed in 33 meetings, five duels ended without a winner, while Mladost celebrated on only two occasions. The goal difference is absolutely on the side of our club and is 96:30.

In the 21st century, Red Star met exactly 30 times against the team from Lucan. Statistics in the new millennium are on the side of the club from Ljutica Bogdan, because since then we do not know of a defeat in mutual clashes.

The last competitive duel between Crvena zvezda and Mladost was played on May 8, 2024 in the fourth round of the national championship playoffs. We celebrated on the side with 0:1, thanks to the goal of Aleksandar Dragović. After that, we also played a match at the summer training in Užice, where we won 1:0 with a goal by Luka Ilić.

Crvena zvezda started to defend the championship title and the eighth consecutive trophy intended for the winner of the national championship. In the first round of the Super League of Serbia, the red and whites defeated the team of Jedinstva from Uba with a score of 4:0 at the Maracana. At the largest Serbian stadium, the audience enjoyed the flowing game and attractive moves. Through the goals, in the ranks of Vladan Milojević's team, two-time scorer Sherif Endiaje, and Aleksandar Katai and Bruno Duarte stood out, who shook the rival's net once each.

Mladost played in the playoffs of the domestic championship last season, so in the new season the club from Lucan aims to be among the eight best teams in Serbia. However, Dejan Joksimović's team did not start the championship in an ideal way, given that they suffered a 1:2 defeat against OFK Belgrade at home. Although Mladost took the lead with a goal by Dušan Cvetinović, the returnee to the most elite rank of domestic football managed to turn the score around and take three points.

BEST OPPONENT PLAYERS

Mladost plays in a 5-3-2 system, while the team is made up of mostly experienced players. The place in the goal is reserved for the experienced Saša Stamenković, the former goalkeeper of our club. The three stoppers are Dušan Cvetinović, the experienced Milan Joksimović and the young "bonus player" Miloš Divac. Aleksandar Varjačić acts in the position of right back, and Žarko Udovicić strengthens the defense on the opposite side along the left out line. The captain of the team conducts the midfield, and this is thirty-nine-year-old Janko Tumbasević. Alongside him are the young Jovan Ćirić, born in 2007, and Aleksandar Pejović. The attacking tandem consists of ten team members - Petar Bojić and Nikola Ćirković. Options from the bench are Nikola Andrić, Filip Žunić, Ibrahim Endiaje, Ognjen Bondžulić, Uroš Ljubomirac, Partik Eze, Ognjen Krsmanović...
