In the Maracana grotto - an atmosphere that is talked about all over the world

Maracana - passion, emotion, full stands, spectacular atmosphere, victories and celebrations, these are all associations when you mention the stadium that proudly bears the name of the first star of Zvezda and a gentleman in football boots - Rajko Mitić. The first applause sent from the stands back in 1963 still echoes through the walls, and the palms that give the rhythm to the loud shout from the stands do not stop "burning" even 60 years later. The hook of the song carried the first team members of our club from season to season, and the famous tailwind gave Red Star the strength to write history.

The home of our club has thus become synonymous with a stadium where it is impossible to win, because the home fans create an incredible atmosphere for the game. The grotto of the Maracana "swallowed up" numerous European giants, who stumbled even when they came to Belgrade as favorites.

Known for its unique atmosphere, extraordinary spectacle and knightly game, the Maracana is famous throughout the world, and it is considered one of the stadiums with the best football atmosphere. With that, Crvena zvezda once again stood out from other clubs, and we are sure that the walls of the Maracana will bear witness to the love between them and us for many years to come.

The opportunity to celebrate together the jubilee 60th birthday of the Maracana is on Saturday, September 2 when we will welcome Novi Pazar from 20:00 as part of the domestic championship. Entrance is free, but arrival in red and white jersey is mandatory.
