Terzić: Title in Serbia, competitiveness in Europe and a chance for Zvezda's kids

- What pleases me the most is the construction of the field, because for the first time Red Star has a field that deserves to be a participant of the Champions League. Zvezda made a phenomenal impression during the preparations, and especially at the tournament in Russia, which was magically won.

There is no past work at Zvezda, neither for the players, nor for the coaches, and every day is a new proof, and the fans, who expect a lot from us, to always be better and more successful. You have seen the new team, we have new players, Bahar shows the opportunity to our children, which we developed through the Youth School and Grafičar. There are Šljivić, Nedeljković, Leković, Mitrović, he realized what we talked about a long time ago and what we told him at the first meeting in Tel Aviv. The requirement is that we be champions in Serbia, competitive in Europe and that as many children as possible get a chance, because Zvezda must be a sustainable system and that we generate our own income and make our own money. Transfers are very important to us and we have to use the Champions League as a good showcase for young players. Against Zenit, we had five bonuses in the first 11, the trend continues, and what encourages us is that Bahar understands our strategy and sees talent and quality in the children, and not that they are pushed by force. I am proud of what we have created in the previous period. Erakovic is one step away from moving to Zenit, but Zvezda wants to keep him on loan until January.

- Our great wish is that Eraković stays on loan for another six months. I talked to him and he wants it, but slowly, first to pass medical examinations, sign, do training, then we will see with our friends from Zenit what is best for him and Zvezda. We would like him to stay, but it also depends on Zenit, because they are also holstering with stoppers, and Eraković has been a big wish for them for a year and a half.

Mitrović, who left a fantastic impression during the preparations, remains at Zvezda for now.

- There is great interest and inquiry, but we do not have a specific offer for him. So, it stays for now.

The friendly match against Fiorentina is scheduled for Wednesday at 20:00, and it will be just one in a series of European giants visiting us.

- We are working on it, but it is not easy, because most of the clubs we wanted to play with now have qualifications. It is inconvenient to find a date, but it is certain that we will play a friendly match with Olympiakos at the beginning of September, when there is a national team break. We will see who is free in August.

Degenek and Kabić are close to Crvena zvezda.

- Miloš Degenek is at the door, we have agreed all the details with Columbus and I expect him to be in Belgrade in the next two or three days, or rather to make himself available to the coaching staff. I hope that today or tomorrow we will also sign Uroš Kabić, who has been a desire of Red Star for a long time and who is the best young player in Serbia, even though he is not already with us. We have to be like Bayern in Germany and that the best in Serbia is in Zvezda.

The situation with Lata Lata has become complicated.

- He was our wish, but 15-20 days ago things got complicated between his agent and Atalanta, and that's a dead end that we can't influence. Now everything is set for us to wonder if we even need him. We are also talking with Bahar about the formations we will play, and there is already strong competition in the rush hour, there is Olanjinka, Kraso, now little Kabić, then Mijatović.

About the status of Katai and Kanga.

- Zvezda will not tolerate anyone anymore, and if we are professionals then we have to draw a line in relation to emotion. The demands are of the highest order and we have to see who can fulfill them. Katai is counted on, he is also a candidate to play in one of the two most advanced positions. Katai is the treasure of Zvezda and can help us at any moment. We will see about Kanga, he has given a lot to the club, but we will see if he can meet the demands of the fast football that Bahar represents. No one was written off, it's up to them, not the coach. The frameworks have been set and there is no place for anyone who cannot fit into the high pressure.

Lekovic definitely stays in red and white.

- We had no dilemma about him, and the stories that we had an offer are not true. There is interest, but no offers, although even if there were, they would have turned them down. Leković is the successor of Eraković who is three years older than him and at the start he also had a lot of loans and despite some mistakes we had patience and believed in his quality. We knew that every young player, especially a stopper, has to overcome "childhood illnesses". Leković is not about to leave the club, he is patiently working and training, he had a small injury at Zlatibor and he is being seriously counted on.

Zvezda's income plan is clear.

- We operate transparently, we have the Assembly as the highest organ of the club where we openly talk about finances. At the beginning of the preparations, I said that we would earn between 50 and 55 million. So 30 million is from UEFA, 5 from tickets, 5 from Gapzrom and depending on the transfer - 10, 12 or 15. Don't forget that it can't be strictly viewed for 12 months. In previous years, we didn't have that much, we didn't enter LŠ, and at the same time we had less income. We had good results in LE, three times we managed to secure the spring, we had bonuses, but not 30 million, but from 12 to 15. We had no income from transfers, we calculated, specifically for Eraković last year we had an offer, higher than this one from Zenit. but the timing didn't match. We didn't want to sell him before qualifying for the LŠ, because entering there would have brought us more. Financial operations must be viewed over a long period of time, and if we want to be successful, we cannot reduce expenses, but rather increase revenues. The goal is for Zvezda to have between 70 and 80 million in annual revenue. Then they would be stable, have a reserve on the side and fulfill all sports goals. We want to invest, that's why Kabić is our wish, because next year the new LŠ cycle starts, there will be more games, and bonuses and income are 40 percent higher. We have to invest a lot in the players, be champions and next year in August win the LŠ again where the income will be higher.

The Super League is supposed to start on July 29, but it is not yet known how many clubs will participate.

- The FSS messed with these decisions and got into a situation where it doesn't know what to do now. If Kolubara was to blame, it should not refer to the current season, but to the next season, so that there is time for the right decision by KAS. Zvezda does not have a position on that, but personally I would not like to have 17 clubs, because it will be felt. There will be stumps, a strong impression that someone is resting on the weekend. So, either 16 or 18 clubs. They locked themselves in the kitchen, they didn't think, and I don't know who advised them and allowed them to do that - Terzić pointed out.
