On Wednesday, July 6 at 6 p.m., the official opening of the exhibition dedicated to two legendary football players - Sinisa Mihajlovic and Paolo Rossi - was held. On this occasion, Siniša's brother - Dražen Mihajlović, as well as Paolo Rossi's wife - Federica Cappelletti, addressed all those present, who came to celebrate the opening.
- I think that we as a family will never come to terms with the fact that Siniša is gone, but we have to learn to live with it. When I came before the opening of the exhibition itself to look at the photos, objects and exhibits in peace, wherever I stopped, I was brought back for a film for each thing and everything here has a separate story, which arouses my emotions. Serbia and Belgrade definitely deserve this kind of exhibition. There are many exhibits here that are dear to me, although I would not like to single them out, the photo of Sinisa with his wife depicts his last days of life and it is hard for me every time I look at it - Dražen Mihajlović started the conversation with us.
The great bond between the two peoples - Serbian and Italian, was a grandmaster free kick taker, and his brother pointed out that the story between Sinisha and Italy began in 1991, that is, with the final match of the European Champions Cup between Red Star and Olympique Marseille in Bari.
- A lot of things connect us to Bari, since our patron saint is Saint Nicholas, the stadium where we won the European Champions Cup also bears that name. Less than 20 days ago, Sinisa's daughter - Virginia got married in Bari, so many things bind us to this, we can say historical city for every star - Drazen Mihajlović concluded.
