Srnić: Zvezda is doing great things for Serbian football, I was confident in the Champions League

- Of course, I followed Zvezda's placement in the Champions League. I follow all Zvezda matches and if I don't get to watch live, I always go back to watch the best moments. I was able to watch the match against Boda Glimt live and I honestly had no doubt that Zvezda would qualify for the Champions League. I expected that we would go through, because I knew that it would be a different game compared to the first one that was played in Norway. The Maracana was full, the atmosphere was great and that factor is always the 12th player of Red Star. Much bigger teams have been going down at the Maracana than Bode, so I had no qualms about going through. Crvena zvezda played a fantastic game and deservedly qualified for the new format - pointed out Slavoljub Srnić. 

Srnić is looking forward to the participation of Zvezda in the new format of the Champions League, but he also points out that this year our club continued to write new pages of its rich history. 

- Being in Europe for eight years, four of them in the Champions League is a big deal for Serbian football, as well as, of course, for Crvena zvezda. I can only congratulate all the stars for such success. I can't wait to see what the new Champions League format will look like, I think we have a chance to go further. There are no easy opponents in the Champions League. I think it can be played, that we have good opponents and I hope that we will be among the first 24 teams. Zvezda made a good team.
