There is no doubt that alongside the talented Maksimović, who delighted the entire football public, the main role in the 174th eternal derby was played by Sherif Endiaje with a hat-trick. With that, the Senegalese striker managed to score six goals in four eternal derbies and become the best foreign scorer in the history of the biggest game of Serbian football.
Until last night, Sheriff Endiaye was tied with Hugo Vieira, Segundo Castilla and Richmond Boaci, who managed to score three times against their eternal rival. Boaci did it in eight games, and Vieira and Castillo in four. Endiaje is more successful than all of them, considering that the strong striker managed to score in every derby he played in.
It all started in the 171st eternal derby when Zvezda suffered a 2:1 defeat, and Endiaje took advantage of Bukari's throw into the box in the 71st minute and beat the opponent's goalkeeper. Endiaje continued the streak that still continues in the next derby, only this time he headed in Hwang's cross from the corner, and the result was 2:2 despite the numerous chances of Zvezda. The most beautiful goal when it comes to derbies, Endiaje scored on the 173rd when he masterfully poked the goalkeeper of his eternal rival after a pass from Bukari (3:2). Last night, complete dominance by Endiaje - first a penalty, then a routine finish to Elšnik's pass and a great reaction to Prutsev's cross, for a hat-trick and entry into Zvezda's history (0:4).
At the same time, only Zoran Filipović with seven goals, Kosta Tomašević with eight goals and finally Bora Kostić and Dragan Džajić with nine goals are more effective than Endiaje in derbies. He tied with Ivan Toplak, who is also at the height of six goals.
