Savić: Premium tickets are more profitable, fans are the most important factor in the Champions League

- In September 1963, the first match was played against Rijeka. The visiting team was leading 1:0, so we turned it into 2:1. Due to national team matches, the championship was not played, so tomorrow the celebration will be against Napredek. This game is important for Zvezda because of the three points and the defense of the title, but it is also very important as a preparation for the upcoming match in the Champions League against Benfica. We have many reasons to be at the Maracana, and on this occasion I invite the star players to be at the stadium in as many numbers as possible, to say goodbye to Bora in a true star-like way, to win three new points and to prepare as well as possible for Benfica - said Dule Savić at the beginning .

He was a boy when the gates were opened at the Maracana for the first time.

- I was a child, I was eight years old when Zvezda played that match against Rijeka, and I remember the captions in the newspaper, they were movie news before the movie was released in the cinema. Towards the end, we always listened to sports news, and a short report was played that the Crvena zvezda stadium was opened. For us boys, that was the reason for an additional dream that one day we would perform for this club.

Dula Savić fondly recalled the legendary turnaround against Dinamo from Berlin, and throughout his life he emphasized that the greatest credit for that venture goes to Marakana and Zvezda's incredible crowd.

- It is difficult to compare times, especially when the difference is 60 years. There is one thing that is constant, and only those who have been to the Maracana and the players who have played on the field know how much the support of the fans and a full stadium means. Especially when it doesn't work, they give you an extra wind at your back. I had such a case in the 1978/79 season when we played against Dinamo Berlin and were four goals behind at half time. We only had 45 minutes to give them four goals to go through, and that's when the magic happened. Nobody left the stadium with that result, I know of a couple of them who regretted that gesture for the rest of their lives. Then, after my first goal, the crowd gave us so much strength, that we scored the fourth goal in the last seconds and secured passage. It was a symbiosis of the audience and the players, a cauldron was created that eventually "boiled" and brought victory. As in 2010, when Dinamo from Tbilisi was leading with 5:2, then Zvezda again came to a turning point .

The star and her fans are always together, they can't live without each other.

- Without an audience, and Zvezda has the best fans, you cannot achieve great results. Zvezda did not become the champion of Europe and the world by playing in front of an empty stadium, on the contrary, it is common victories and successes, that is, common joy .

The former football player of our team reminded all star players about premium season tickets, which are more profitable for fans than packages for the Champions League.

- First of all, I expect star players to respond in as large a number as possible and to buy premium season tickets. This premium annual ticket package includes all domestic league matches and also matches in the Champions League. It will also include two to three games with the eternal rival at our stadium, so I would like as many people as possible to take those tickets and support Zvezda .

- The first match is the most important in every competition, especially in the first phase of the Champions League. A favorable result against the Portuguese team would be an additional impulse before the next seven games. We will see in the end if this format is more favorable, and what is great is that there are no more calculations. Here, every point is simply important. We will do everything to justify our participation in the group stage with the help of the crowd and the great atmosphere at the Maracana. Zvezda has shown that it is superior here and has been present in the Champions League for a long time - pointed out Savić.
