Milan Borjan was also up to the task in the 2022/23 season and is now traditionally one of the most standard footballers of Crvena zvezda. The statistics show that the experienced goalkeeper defended in 47 competitive games, and remained undefeated in as many as 22 duels. Of that, he was in the starting line-up for 33 matches in the championship, and when it comes to the Serbian Cup, he missed only the first match against Mačva, while in the remaining four duels he led the red and whites to the third consecutive double crown.

Zvezda's octopus enjoyed maximum trust when it comes to European matches, both with Dejan Stanković and his successor - Miloš Milojević. Borjan proudly wore the captain's armband in two two-match Champions League qualifiers against Pyunik and Maccabi Haifa, but also in the group stage in all six duels against Monaco, Ferencvaros and Trabzonspor. Opponent players managed to deceive the Zvezda captain in 33 situations, when it comes to competitions on all three fronts.

Penalty series are a special inspiration for Borjan, and he was extremely dominant in that field this year as well. In the quarterfinals of the Serbian Cup, the first team members of Zvezda met with Napredka at the "Mladost" stadium. After 90 minutes of play, there were no goals, and a penalty shootout followed, in which Milan Borjan managed to save two penalty kicks from the players of the Kruševac team and made a great contribution to reaching the semi-finals.

A promising goalkeeper, who gained experience on loan at Super League clubs - Nikola Vasiljević stood in the Red Star's goal on five occasions in the previous season and left an excellent impression. He made four appearances in the Serbian Super League and one in the Cup against Radnicki from Sremska Mitrovica, when he replaced Borjan in the 73rd minute.

Zoran Popović spent the spring part of the 2022/23 season on loan in the Čukaricki team. In the first half of the season, he once wore the jersey of Crvena Zvezda in the Serbian Cup against Mačva, when our team won with a score of 0:2, and the experienced goalkeeper successfully saved the net.
