Summary of Zvezda's defensive line

Three players participated in the right back position in the rotation, first Dejan Stanković, and then Miloš Milojević. Marko Gobeljić can boast of the most appearances, who played 20 games, scored two goals and provided three assists. Mahom played more minutes during the autumn part of the championship, while in the second part of the season we saw more often Aleks Vig and Lazar Nikolić near the right sideline. The young temperamental Argentine who played 16 games was the first option on several occasions. He scored a goal in the 169th eternal derby, and has already made his mark in the history of our club, and he also shook the nets of our rivals on two more occasions. He also recorded one direct play for a goal. Lazar Nikolić arrived from Ivanjica Javor during the previous winter break, and in the period behind us he played in 11 games with one assist.

Young Strahinja Eraković stood out from all the defenders of our club with the most appearances. Another spectacular season is behind the quick-footed stopper of the red and whites. He played 47 games, with a balance of two assists, and occasionally covered the position of the right back. At the end of the season, he was declared the best young football player of the national championship. Most often, Aleksandar Dragović acted alongside Eraković. In as many as 44 matches, we enjoyed watching the experienced central defender, who confirmed how much he contributes to the stability and calmness of the red and white defensive line. Also, thirty-four-year-old Nemanja Milunović entered the rotation, but unfortunately injuries prevented him from making any more appearances. He was on the field 31 times, and in addition to excellent interventions, he managed to be in the list of scorers in the Serbian Cup match against Mačva from Šabac.

Uroš Spajić recovered from a serious injury and on his comeback debut, at the Maracana against Čukarički, he scored a goal for the TV highlights, and earned the applause of the fans. He made two more appearances until the end of the season and there is no doubt that he will represent the pillar of our team's defense in all competitions in the coming competitive years. Stefan Leković played 12 games in the Super League of Serbia, and in the last championship match he made his debut in the jersey of his beloved club against Novi Pazar. In addition, he recorded a performance in the most massive competition in our country, when together with Erakovic, he formed a stopwatch tandem. Radovan Pankov spent the first part of the season at the address of Ljutica Bogdan, while in the rest of the championship he defended the colors of Čukaricki as a loan player from Zvezda. He played seven games in the red and white jersey, and let's remember the injury that he unfortunately suffered during the preparations of the previous summer in Zlatibor and which prevented him from being on the field more often. In the autumn part of the season, Vuk Bogdanović recorded minutes in the final match against Kolubar in Lazarevac, but he left the club in the winter transfer window.

In the season behind us, Milan Rodić played near the left touchline in 38 matches. The football player born in Drvar scored one goal, with two assists. The consistency of the occasional representative of Serbia was evident throughout the entire season, and the sixth title of the national champion and the third tied double crown remain on the account of the experienced Rodić. Irakli Azarov made 25 appearances where he managed to play past his teammates for a goal on two occasions. The young Georgian played excellent games with an evident improvement in form with each subsequent performance.
