At the end of the season, the youth team of Crvena Zvezda took the vice-championship place in the domestic championship table, winning 64 points in 30 games played.
The team led during the season by the former player of Red Star - Zoran Rendulić, despite excellent games, took the second position in the Serbian Youth League table. In 30 matches, we recorded 20 victories, with four draws and six defeats. The goal difference between the red and white team after all matches was 75:34, which makes us stand out as the team with the fewest goals conceded in the championship.
We also played in the Youth Champions League where we first eliminated Cypriot Omonia, but unfortunately we ended the competition in the next round after a penalty draw with AZ Alkmaar, who later managed to win the cup.
When it comes to the players, the captain of the selection was the most experienced footballer Stefan Pirgić born in 2003. At the same time, Pirgić was the team's most effective player with 16 goals scored, along with 10 assists, which made him the best playmaker of the red and white team. In the moments when the head of the professional staff could not count on a strong center forward, the captain's armband was worn by the left-footed stopper Nemanja Vidojević, and his replacement was the member of the Montenegrin national team - Luka Lečić.
Mateja Radonjić stood out as second on the list of scorers, and ten of our juniors scored nine goals during the season. On the other hand, Luka Bošković beat his teammates for a goal on eight occasions, which makes him the runner-up in that segment. We should also highlight Boris Matić who, with 32 matches, was the Zvezda youth player with the most appearances.
During the competition year, young first-team players Nikola Stanković, Jovan Mijatović and Stefan Leković, as well as Nemanja Motika, who left our club a few days ago, came to help for the Youth Champions League duels, and sometimes for matches within the national championship. Bogdan Marinković, Ognjen Mimović, Kosta Nedeljković, Aleksej Vukičević, Blagoje Unković, Lazar Đurić, Aleksa Cvetković, Jusuf Fajsal and Aleksandar Kahvić also recorded performances for the youth selection.
