The players of both teams started aggressively from the moment Uroš Ržić marked the start of the match. However, Crvena zvezda, with the role of favorites in the match, started much more offensively, and we saw the first opportunity already in the fifth minute. Novak Gojkov was the most skillful in the home team's penalty area, when he tried to lob Pjanović from the penalty area. However, with the utmost efforts, the young man born in 2006 transferred the ball into the corner with his fingertips. Belgrade's red and whites opened the barrage towards Voždovac's goal in the 11th minute with a shot by Krivokapić from an angle within the boundaries of the penalty area. Then Vidojević attempted a header in the 12th minute after a corner, but the rival's net was still at rest.

Just four minutes later, Luka Lečić sent a very strong shot from 25 meters, and once again the goalkeeper of "Zmajeva" was well placed. Maltene's identical scenario took place during Cvetković's attempt, as Zvezda's eight shot straight at the opponent's goalkeeper in the 21st minute. The talented Gojkov beat several defenders of the opposing team in the 28th minute, but unfortunately his attempt ended up just past Pjanović's left post, and in the 32nd minute, Vukojević's shot from outside the penalty area nearly rattled the net.

Despite the great initiative of our team, Voždovac reached the lead in the 38th minute with a goal by Petrović. The home team made it 2:0 in the 43rd minute, and Petrović scored for the second time. Zvezda could quickly reduce the advantage in the 44th minute, and a great opportunity was missed by Vukojević on Gojkov's assist, when his attempt from only eight meters from the goal line was saved by Pjanović. Voždovac was very lucky in the 46th minute when Gojkov headed inside the box, and the defender of the home team prevented an obvious goal from the goal line.

In the continuation of the game, Zvezda threatened already in the 46th minute through reserve Mateja Bubnja, who was played by Milojković in the opponent's penalty area, but the attempt was again stopped by Pjanović. Three minutes later, Gojkov could reduce the score on the stoppage time, but once again the players of Voždovac managed to defend the goal with a double block. The team of Nenad Milijaš tightened the hoop around the rival's goal more and more, and in the 56th minute, Bubanj scored a great header on Aleksa Cvetković's cross from the left side.

Krivokapić also shot from a free kick in the 69th minute, but just over the crossbar. Just 60 seconds later, Tegelti hit the goalpost after a cross from the once again alert Cvetković. However, Voždovac increased the advantage with a goal by Skrobonja in the 75th minute. The brave red and white continued to attack, so Bubanj tried from distance in the 80th minute, but the Zvezda center forward's shot went over the goal. The players of Zvezda showed that they have a strong character in the 85th minute when Aleksa Vasilić reacted perfectly to Cvetković's new penetration and play in the penalty area and scored with a very precise shot to make it 3:2. Until the end of the match, our team did not give up its intention to reach a positive result, and the attempt from the referee's compensation, i.e. in the 93rd minute, by Veljko Milosavljević unfortunately did not end up in the net. It was that shot that marked the end of a very tense encounter.
