Peter Olaninka featured in Red Star

I watched several Zvezda matches during the spring, I saw that we have a lot of quality players and a great team. Coming to Zvezda is a big step for my career. I am aware that it is a step forward, and change, although not easy, goes with the job of a football player. This is a new challenge that I have set before myself.

He does not see his teammates as competition.

- I am aware that Katai is extremely high-quality, but I play more forward, more like a striker. Certainly, I don't see anyone as competition, we are here to make joint successes.

Zvezda has another ambassador in the world, so Plavšić told Olanjinka all the best about our club.

- We didn't talk much, he is on loan at another club, but what I heard was all the best about Zvezda.

He prefers to score rather than assist.

- For me, the most important thing is that the team wins, after all, I like scoring goals the most, but I also feel good when I assist.

He did not want to compare Slavia and Zvezda, but pointed out that he will give his best in Zvezda's jersey.

- I still can't compare which team is better, but I will know the answer to that question when I start training with my teammates at Zvezda. As for the match with Inter, I will do my best to repeat those games in Zvezda's jersey and delight the fans.

- When I got injured in 2017, it was really not easy for me. Upon my return, I chose number 14 and I definitely like it - said Olanjinka.

Peter Olanjinka was born on November 16, 1995 in Ibadan, a city in Nigeria, and arrived in Europe as a seventeen-year-old, although he drew attention to himself a little later - playing for Dukla from Prg, then Zulte Waregem and finally for Slavia Prague.
