Zvezda pioneers, state champions

Zvezda's children, born in 2008, secured the championship title at the Belgrade level with 74 points, and Milan Milenkovic's team secured participation in the final competition on the FSS grounds in Stara Pazova. Due to their excellent performances during the season, four teams got a chance to fight for the championship title at the state level, namely Vojvodina, Real Niš and Apollon.

In the semi-final, the opponent for our club was "Stara dama" from Novi Sad, and they celebrated the Belgrade red and white very convincingly with 4:1. An excellent game, with a handful of created chances and action, led the young footballers to the final. Vasilije Kostov scored a hat-trick against Vojvodina, and Vasilije Subotić also entered the list of scorers.

In the final, Zvezda's pearls triumphed over Apollon with 3:1 and through one dominant game reached the title of pioneer champion at the state level. Goals worthy of the trophy were scored by Vasilije Kostov, who hit the net twice, as well as Aleksa Damjanović.
