The home players had the first chance of the match, relatively speaking, when in the second minute, Uroš Đorđević, from Graficar, passed on the right flank and shot with his left foot at the very corner of the goal, but Bekonja reacted brilliantly and diverted the ball into the corner. The team of Nenad Milijaš had another great opportunity in the fifth minute when Teofilović and Tošić combined brilliantly. After passing the tall Zvezda striker, Tošić strung up the opponents with a brilliant dribble, but his shot was then blocked. Teofilović ran into the deflection of that attempt, but his shot ended up over the crossbar of the goal, which is being defended by Dostanić.

The red and white threatened again in the 15th minute, when Tasić attempted a shot from the edge of the penalty area, but the well-placed Dostanić saved that attempt. The home team, led from the bench by Aleksandar Jevtic, took the lead in the 16th minute through Knežević, who routinely took advantage of the one-on-one situation in which he found himself in front of the Zvezda goal.

Just two minutes later, Mladenović was illegally brought down in the Graficara penalty area, and the referee of the game awarded a penalty. Ognjen Teofilović scored a penalty kick and managed to tie the score in the 18th minute. Already in the 21st minute, Zvezda could have turned things around, but Teofilović's shot from a very good position ended up just over Grafičar's goal. Already in the next attack, the young net keeper of the home team - Dostanić, stood out again, because he managed to defend the shots sent by Tošić on two occasions.

The red and whites reached a turning point in the 25th minute when Nikola Tasić, on a great sharp cross sent by Tošić, shook the net of Grafičar. The youth of Crvena zvezda scored the third goal in the first part of the game, through Ognjen Teofilović, who made a great header after Ristovski had used him with a cross from a corner kick.

Due to the busy schedule and fatigue after the match in Monte Carlo, Nenad Milijaš made a lot of changes in the second part of this match. Manojlović, Mišić, Vasilić, Ilić and Kostov played for Zvezda in the second half, and replaced Đorđević, Mladenović, Tošić, Ramadani and Ristovski. The red and whites took advantage of the first half, and introduced the match into "calmer waters" in the second part of the game.
