Neđić: Cooperation between Zvezda and Graficar is crucial for player development

- The season went as expected, with a lot of young players, who passed the first part of the competition through our roster and then reached the first team of Red Star. Likewise, in the second part of the championship, a lot of young footballers joined. We fulfilled two goals. The first was in terms of player development, and the second was to take a position and a place in the playoffs with a young team. Kudos to the coaching staff and the players, because it was not easy to get there at all, considering the age of the players and the pressure under which they had to play. If we look only at the result, we can say that the season was turbulent, but when it comes to the actual game on the field, that was not the case. This is our third season in Grafičar, and when we look at the development of football players, we have the right to say that we are doing a good job. The boys are facing senior football for the first time and they are very difficult games for them. They showed the necessary character, especially when they played under the imperative of winning. I believe that we are an atypical team in the championship, because we go for triumph in every game. We don't look at the opponent, we look at us and the development of the guys. By that I mean how to best adapt them to all challenges and enable them to progress - Neđić pointed out.

In the season behind us, the graphic designer made a breakthrough in the national cup, reaching the round of 16.

- It is certain that the matches in the Serbian Cup are an indicator of good work and a product of our mutual relationship. Those matches actually showed how difficult the First League of Serbia is for young players, and on the other hand, how good it is for their "path" and development. The boys deserved to play excellent games in the duels with Spartak and Partizan. I emphasize this based on their work and approach during their daily duties, because the good games came as a result of good and hard work. They presented themselves in the right light, especially in the match against their eternal rival. We didn't give up our game, we wanted to compete. Our vision was to play the same against teams from the Super League, as we do in our championship. The duels in the national cup raised our confidence and convinced us that the players are ready for a higher level.

The young strategist emphasized the excellent cooperation between Red Star and our development team.

- The path through Grafičar, as the development team of Crvena zvezda, is the best for young footballers. For several years back, every six months the players take a step forward in the form of a transfer to the Super League of Serbia or abroad. Crvena zvezda and Grafičar have a great cooperation, which is the key in the entire process of player development. Our entire coaching staff went through the Zvezde Youth School, and therefore we know how the club breathes and what is expected of us. In addition to the players, the coaches also strengthened the first team of Crvena zvezda, which is a real indicator that we are going in the right direction and of course an incentive for further work - Neđić concluded.
