Two changes in the starting 11 compared to the fantastic game against Zenit, but an identical formation, as well as an effort to force the rival to make a mistake through pressing and reach a goal. Only nine minutes were enough for Zvezda to put it into action, and the executor was Mirko Ivanić. Kraso managed to take the ball away from the rival, played a good pass for our offensive midfielder who found himself "eye to eye" with Brkić and hit the "small" net. Ivanić's goal-scoring rhythm was also joined by Stefan Mitrović, who was among the scorers in the 18th minute, with the fact that this time Crvena Zvezda scored from a half-counter. Bukari dribbled in the middle of the field, sent a diagonal for Mitrović, and he entered the penalty area, broke free from the keeper and hit the near corner.
He also threatened Bukara in the 28th minute when he shot diagonally from the right side, but straight at Brkić. Zvezda also combined five minutes later when Ivanić lifted the ball to the second post where Olanjinko was ready to wait, but headed straight at goalkeeper Nefči. Glazer rested for a full 38 minutes, and then showed that his concentration did not drop, despite the defensive setup of the team from Azerbaijan, and ran fantastically to the ball and stopped the rival's counterattack. However, at the end of the first half, Mitrović again acted as if on "turbo" power, ran through the middle, employed Osman Bukari, and the fast-footed Ganjan beat Brkić.
Mitrović didn't stop in the second half either, so in the 55th minute he played a double pass with Ivanić, and the ball, due to a longer free kick, escaped into the arms of Balajev. Zvezda's song "Smena Arena" was played throughout the match, and Bahar's soldiers, aware of the support they have, provided more than the maximum, in terms of combativeness. Olanjinka had a chance, who was building up brilliantly in the visitors' penalty area, and in the 60th minute, the ball "ricocheted" off two Nefchi defenders and prevented the score from changing.
Milliseconds separated Kangwa from scoring in the 69th minute, after the uncertainty of the defense, which was saved by Salahli and with a sliding start, at the last moment, managed to stop the playful Zambian. However, the final result was set in the 81st minute when Jovan Šljivić ran to the rebound after Mijatović's shot and routinely hit the net.
