Legacy of the "Bora Kostić" trophy - Ivanić and Katai bearers of tradition

The famous Bora Kostić, as the most effective football player in the history of our club, since its foundation in 1945, scored an incredible 230 goals. He often broke the crossbars with the force of his shot, so in the ceremonial box in front of the Zvezda Museum there is an old frame of the goal that illustrates the power of the famous ace's shot.

In the first year, the "Bora Kostić" trophy went to Mirko Ivanić, who played 48 official games and scored 20 goals in the 2020/21 season. The midfielder of our team scored 16 times in the domestic championship, he was the scorer of one goal in the Serbian Cup, while he was accurate in three matches in the qualification matches for the Champions League.

After a year, Aleksadar Katai became the second player who won a valuable recognition with his great performances on the field. Zvezda's Magico made 47 appearances in the red and white jersey in the 2021/22 season and impressed with his goal-scoring edition. A skilled dribbler, he scored 33 goals, but he also finished the competitive year as the team's best assistant.

Zvezda's ten managed to "defend" the "Bora Kostić" award. In the competitive year behind us, Aleksandar Katai was the player with the most played games in the red and white camp, but also the most scored goals. A total of 19 times, Katai managed to beat the opposing goalkeepers, which was more than enough for the new laureate.
