On July 29, 1998, Crvena Zvezda defeated Kolkheti 7:0 at Maracana in the first round of UEFA Cup qualification. It was a phenomenal performance by the red and whites at the legendary stadium and the night of Dragan Mićić, who scored a hat-trick.
The football players of our team played the first match on the away field and won with a score of 0:4. Ognjenović and Pantelić entered the list of scorers, while Aćimović scored two goals. The result from Georgia allowed the red and whites to play in the second leg without any stress. Seven days later, at the "Rajko Mitić" stadium, the first team members of Zvezda played a great game and celebrated with a convincing result.
