Mitrović: The atmosphere from the stands will carry us to success

- We made a good prelude to the Champions League with a triumph in the domestic championship. It is important that we are back on the winning track before an extremely important match for us players who wear the red and white jersey, but also for the entire star-studded audience. We know how much the game that awaits us on Wednesday means to the fans, and with that in mind, we are preparing as much as possible for Young Boys. We train at full intensity with a focus on tactical finesse, and we are very well acquainted with the qualities of the next opponent. We noticed the strengths of the opponent, but also parts of the game where we can be competitive and dangerous for the rival's goal. We have analyzed the match between the Swiss and Leipzig and we are aware of the qualities they possess. However, we are playing in our stadium and I think the home field advantage brings a lot. The match against Young Boys, which I watched as a fan in 2019, will be our inspiration for what follows - Mitrović began.

The quick-footed dribbler is looking forward to the game on Wednesday, he believes in the full stands of the largest Serbian stadium and, in addition, notes that the team will do its best to achieve the first triumph in the Champions League in the current season.

- Through family and friends, there is no one who hasn't asked me for tickets. I believe that the stadium will be packed, and that the fans will create a spectacle in the stands. This will be the first time for me personally to play the Champions League at the Maracana, although I have already felt the charm of the most prestigious football competition against the current champion of Europe - Manchester City. If our approach to the game, dedication, persistence and fighting spirit are the same, or of course even greater, as it was in England, I am sure that we can achieve a positive result. We are diligently preparing for one of the most important matches of this season, we want to bring joy to everyone who loves Red Star. We have to show the greatness of our club in the right light and with the atmosphere from the stands we manifest the strength of the Maracana - concluded Mitrović.
