The Red Star footballers will start the new season in the Serbian Super League tomorrow at 20:00 in the match against Unity, which will be played at the Maracana, and the expectations before the first match of the season were expressed by the head of the coaching staff, Vladan Milojević.
- I invite the fans to come in as many as possible and to break the record from 2014 when there were 22 thousand people at the premiere of the season. Whoever can come to support us, I hope they will, and we certainly wanted our audience. I also hope that they are us, despite the fact that it is July, warm, vacations, weekends. Whoever came, thank you - Milojević began.
He had many words of praise for the Jedinstva team.
- I congratulate them on entering the Superliga. It's a big deal and credit goes to the people who run the club. I am sure they have the potential for this competition and I wish them to stay in the championship. They have a large number of young and interesting players. Many of them have already played abroad, some only in Serbia, but they are certainly well-known names - Sise, Ferreira, Denić, Dubljanić, Stojanović... I still think that their biggest asset is the team, with a coach who has been in Italy for a long time. and who is a real tactician. It will be an interesting and attractive match.
Journalists were interested in the situation with Duarte, bonuses and the team.
- I don't know if Duarte will make his debut tomorrow. He is training with us, he recently joined, he will be in the protocol, but whether he will play - we will see. As far as bonuses are concerned, we have a large number of young players, and it all depends on the tactics and opponents, which of them will be on the field. It doesn't necessarily mean that we will only have two bonuses on the field tomorrow. I don't know if anyone will miss the premiere tomorrow, but it should be taken into account that we have made specific preparations, because a large number of national team members only joined in Russia when we were already training the team. They missed the basic part and we will see if someone needs more training to get into the desired physical shape. We certainly have a large pool of players and there is no problem from that side.
It will not be easy tomorrow, Milojević is convinced.
- All the teams in the Superliga have quality and they are all motivated to prove themselves and prove themselves. This is the beginning of the season, the teams are still not fully trained, so we don't know what to expect. I believe it will be interesting, but not easy.
The journalists also asked Milojević if he had ever faced the situation that awaits us tonight, namely that Napredak, as the host, is playing against our eternal rival in Humska, and how much it threatens the regularity of the competition.
- I would not like to answer that - Milojević finished his presentation.
