In the 13th round of the Super League of Serbia, our team will host Spartak at the "City Stadium" in Subotica. The head of the professional staff of Crvena zvezda - Vladan Milojević expressed his expectations before the next match in the domestic championship, which is scheduled for Saturday at 18:00.
Milojević started with the analysis of our team's previous match in the Champions League against Monaco.
- The second goal we conceded, the way it happened, those are details that shouldn't happen. Did Monaco come in stronger or are we not right? It is necessary to be more experienced, smarter and "oiled", we cannot concede a goal in such a way. Before that, we had action, as well as one less player in the field, considering that Olanjinka was off the field after a suspicious situation. I think that all this had a psychological effect on the team - Milojević said.
The head of the profession referred to the fact that at the moment there are many injured players in his roster.
- It's a difficult situation.
The experienced strategist presented a short analysis of the game of the next rival of the red and whites.
- Spartak plays very compactly. They don't give up to play all 90 minutes, they always fight. They are a dynamic and compact team, which can create a problem at any moment.
During the previous games, Zvezda managed to beat Spartak with a high score, and the media representatives were interested in whether our club can achieve a convincing triumph again.
- I can't say what I would accept at this moment, we certainly have a demanding game ahead of us.
When asked if there will be more bonus footballers in the team, the red and white strategist pointed out that after the last training session he will know which players he can count on.
- I still don't know. We did not do the last training session, so after it we will see who will be ready for the match against Spartak.
Vladan Milojević spoke about the great support of the fans in Monte Carlo, as well as the extent of Peter Olanjinka's injury.
- It means a lot of support for us. The fans are always there, we hear their song and feel the energy. Especially with results that are not favorable for us. I congratulate them and acknowledge them. I know that it is not easy for them and that they expect more from us. It's up to us to live up to the trust, and it's up to them to cheer the boys on. It's hard enough for us at the moment. We have a large number of serious injuries. Horrible injury to Olanjinka, he wanted to continue at half-time after being trampled even though he had swelling on his leg. That swelling put compression on the tendon, which ruptured. It is very difficult for me and we are sorry, because Olanjinka is very important to the team, he has grown close to our hearts, we adore and love him. The biggest impression of the game was that I didn't take him out of the game earlier. A lot of players next to him are missing. These are not minor injuries, but because of which you have to take a break for three to four weeks. After that, the players have to get back into competitive shape, and that takes another month. Thanks to the fans for cheering them on like this. We will have many young players, footballers who have not played much. They need support, and I have great respect for them.
At the age of 84, the legendary Toma Milićević left us, with whom Milojević had the privilege of working as a young footballer.
- Toma Milićević is a man who will certainly not appear again in this area, with great knowledge and human characteristics. Not only in Red Star, but also in Serbia. He dedicated his whole life to working with young players, finding talents. I was lucky to work with him. I am very sorry, a great man has left us, leaving a void behind. We will try to keep Uncle Tom in the memories of future generations. My sincere condolences to the Milićević family - Milojević said.
