Milojević: We believed in success, the chanting touched me

- Finals are played to win, there is not much philosophy, when you get there, you have to triumph. We entered the game well, we controlled it, but as it usually happens in football, when you miss chances and are sleepy in the end, then the penalty comes. The most important thing was that we believed in our work, that we continued in the same rhythm, the boys did it and in the end we succeeded. It's not easy when you win the title six rounds before the end of the league, because you have to motivate the team from match to match, and we managed to come back from 1:0 in Bačka Topola, and then today, that showed our character and quality. I didn't like the whistles at the end, people have to understand that it's the end of May and the players are tired both mentally and physically, getting ready for the Champions League, so they need a little breather. Personally, as a fan I wanted to score another goal, but it's easy to talk from the sidelines. I congratulate Cukaricki on a good game, we knew they would play with five in defense, even though they didn't practice it, but it was a great match and it went a little more in their favor. Nevertheless, the final is there to be won, history has been written and I hope that every next coach who comes will further strengthen it - Milojević began.

- The striker should score goals and it is a bit unfair to criticize him. Do I want him to play better? I want to and everyone wants to, and we know he can, but he scored a lot of important goals in the championship and the cup, so we are too strict with him, because there are not many free strikers. We have to have a striker like Pavkov, for example, who has been here for a long time and knows how to play in our championship, because it's one thing to play in Europe and another in Serbia. From another perspective, Serbian football needs matches like this and I hope there will be more of them. It was a good match, tactically different requirements, no monotony, and I liked it. Of course I like to win convincingly, but that doesn't make us better, and it's not interesting for the audience.

A masterful goal was also scored by a footballer from Čukaricki.

- I also conceded a difficult goal from stoppage time, as an assistant coach in the match against Omonia. Docic is quality, we know that, he makes excellent interceptions, he has a good left foot and that's why he is where he is and lasts a long time. Borjan led us to the final of the cup and in that action before the goal he had two interventions. It shouldn't be seen that way, the team shows strength and character, when someone has a bad day, someone else jumps out, today the hero was Pešić, many times before that it was someone else, and the quality of Zvezda is the pool of players, because we had several other great footballers on benches that didn't even play today.

- I will not take them to Sweden, even though I am a nomad. He will be in Knjaževac at home, his father takes care of it more than I do, so this is more for him, and for me it is moral satisfaction, I don't need material things. I also know what is being hinted at when Sweden is mentioned, my family lives there, but it is too early to return. The fans there can make a good spectacle, the quality of the league is also there, the intensity maybe a little stronger than here, but they are not better than us in terms of ranking, so going there at this moment would be a step backwards.

- 10 journalists from Israel have already called me, I expect that these days, I answer, I have no problem. Zvezda is my club, like the club of all fans, and I wish every coach the best, including my successor. I also supported Deki, Miloj, Grof, because I know that we are in the service of the club. I wish Bahar to stay the entire term at Zvezda and make progress in every aspect.

- I'm not even aware of that, the game ended only an hour ago. I'm happy, but I have a problem because I can neither be happy nor sad very much. I'm happy for the players, because I know what we went through and how much energy the entire coaching staff invested, Milijaš, Poja, the guys from the fitness team led by Saleta. I'm glad that we succeeded, the prerequisite for that was that we didn't have any problems, I'm also proud because I received the trust from the management to be the head of the coaching staff in a historic season. Third double crown aside, this was a very important season to win the championship, as the winner goes to the Champions League. The fans have been waiting for three years, both from a sporting and financial point of view, so I can be fulfilled, although in football you can rejoice a little, and then come new challenges and a focus on the future.

He also praised Kangwa, who brought liveliness to the field.

- With the Kings, we got the stability that when they play in a 5-3-2 formation, we attack from the right side and we can skip the central corridor in order to play in the counter "half-space", and we couldn't do that with Kang because he was impatient to move it. He has solved matches many times, this one did not suit him, but Zvezda's quality is that instead of the Gabon representative - Kanga, the Zambian representative - Kangwa enters the field, it is a luxury and I am happy about it. I would also praise Mijailović, and that we didn't run the risk of going to overtime and penalties.

Milojević motivated the players to be braver in the second half.

- I told the players that there must be more courage, that I believe in them, but that history is not entered with 75 or 95, but with 120 percent, and maybe from this perspective it seems easy, but it is not. You have to be constantly motivated and when the championship is decided, when a new coach arrives, there are signs saying who will stay, that is something that cannot be influenced. I have never been in a club where work is so serious in the last week, and I think it is not good that the cup is played so late, and that it would be better if the final was in March. In the training methodology, you can't pour five liters into a liter bottle, and that's where their potential drops and that's normal. We worked seriously, we prepared as if we were playing Monaco, I am proud of the players for being patient with me and I thank them - it paid off.

- Thank you to the fans, they touched me, I didn't expect to get chanted by the players and fans at the end, and all I did was the least I could contribute to winning the double crown - Milojević pointed out.
