The youth team of Crvena Zvezda played a draw with the Monaco team in Monte Carlo (1:1) in the third round of the Youth Champions League, and the head of the coaching staff - Nenad Milijaš, expressed his impressions after the match.
- I congratulate all the players on the game they played, they did their best, and now we are going home satisfied. We had a few chances at the end where we could have scored, but we could have conceded as well. We are getting better from game to game, taking into account that we are much younger than other teams in the Champions League, all in all, I think we played a top game. This is a great school, which really means a lot to our players for the further growth and development of their careers. It's nice to play in these conditions, against a strong opponent, you don't have the opportunity to do something like that every day, but kudos to the players for the game they played - started Nenad Milijaš.
Fifteen-year-old Savo Radanović defended for the red and whites today, and he played a phenomenal game.
- Savo Radanović got an opportunity, due to the invitation of our goalkeeper from previous games (Vuk Draškić) to the senior match, which is a huge success for Crvena zvezda as a club. Savo took advantage of the opportunity and defended this game really perfectly. It is not easy to play at this level at that age, but it is up to him to learn from it, and Savo gave today what we expected from him. He helped the defensive line a lot, and they also helped him, so we were really a real team in this match. An individual will always stand out, but above all, we were a quality group today - emphasized Milijaš.
